![]() All you're doing is making the experience even worse for everybody while wasting your own time doing so. Repeat until the run is over, or the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ leaves.įightning toxicity with toxicity does not work. All the while making it clear in chat that this is because x player is a jackass and this is what they get. After the boss fight, I will instantly teleport to the next area. I will do my darndest to stay alive, more so than in a normal fight. Every level for the rest of the game, I will beeline straight to the teleporter and activate it. If a player purposefully (accidents happen sometimes) nabs others' boss loot, I will ruin the rest of this run. Originally posted by OrangeGills:Unpopular concept: I ruin games when people do that. Repeat until the run is over, or the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ leaves. ![]() Unpopular concept: I ruin games when people do that. Getting everyone on the same page before the game begins really helps. Use this time to also organize, say specific items you may need for your optimal build. It also helps when selecting your loadout to *remind* people to kindly only take one boss drop. Not everyone is a toxic troll doing it intentionally, however If the next level the same person does it again, leave and join a new match. In my experience naming and shaming the people who do that makes the runs go smoother. Originally posted by DecisivelyNumbGaming:Solution is simple, call them out on it. While 1 OP player with 3 dead/weak ones is a better strat, it's a hell of a lot less fun if you aren't that guy. If that's really the case then it's only evidence that items in multiplayer require a lot more balancing going forward. Not that I'm suggesting that's how you should play, it wouldn't be very fun, even if (or perhaps because) it's much easier, just that your complaint of one player gimping the TEAM doesn't hold water. ![]() ![]() One overpowered character and 3 dead ones is far stronger than 4 barely-surviving weak characters. Someone stealing your items pretty much makes the team stronger overall, so that's not an issue. There's plenty of ways it could work as not to piss of people who think it'd be too strong. The lobby can vote on the difficulty so maybe have it be a vote for that, too. Or just, yknow, have it be an option you can turn off if you don't want it. If people are too concerned about it being "too easy" with it on, maybe a system could be implemented where when one person dies, the rest of the team no longer has access to the items they had. Wanting a system to regulate how items get dispersed in multiplayer isn't asking for an easier game, it's asking for something that won't allow an individual to gimp an entire team. Folks stealing items straight up puts your own (and by proxy, the team's) long term survival at risk and it's not something you have control over.
